Is there a size best for pictures and flags?

Is there a size best for pictures and flags? Also, please be aware that we suggest that all pictures are both: To get the best results, it is advisable to use 1920 x 1080 pixel pictures for your background. The smaller pictures do not work because they are deformed on higher resolutions screens.

You will still want to keep the picture resize for full-width rotary banner artwork that covers the entire page, but the resize is still elastic depending on how dramatically you want your banner to scroll with the banner. As the picture gets larger, it will be less conspicuous and as the picture gets smaller, the effect of parallel laxes on the banner will become clearer.

If you have traditionally used artwork that has rotary flags on the home page, or if you want to make a scroll banner on another page, you should use 1900 x 646 pictures for high-resolution pictures (recommended), or 950 x 323 pixel pictures still work to make sure they're not warped.

When using a bigger picture, you can open it in the Sidekick graphic editors to cut the picture to the correct dimensions for that banner. If you want this area to look like our example, the suggested sizes are 1024x210 or 2000x411 pixel. Apart from these special areas, you can use pictures of practically any magnitude on your website and it will be scaled down to match the area where you insert it.

Our general advice is not to upload an 1920 x 1080 pixel picture for anything on your website, as no area needs an picture bigger than that and bigger pictures may not be loaded correctly or at least take much longer to download.
